Fertility Supplements

Fertility Supplements Dubai UAE : Fertility Dubai : How to Improve Your Fertility and Your Chances of Conceiving. Cost, Prices & Clinics Reviews. Find Best Fertility Treatment Doctor, Specialist, Clinic or Hospital in Dubai UAE. The fertility rates in both men and women across the world have gone down alarmingly in recent years. This decline in fertility has lead to a huge increase of interest in natural fertility supplements that claim to help an individual overcome infertility problems and be able to conceive. But do they work, and in what infertility cases are they most effective? To answer this question you need to know the root of the fertility problem for an individual or couple. There are actually many different factors that can lead to infertility. In some cases diet and lifestyle play important roles while in others genetics or environmental factors may be to blame.

Infertility and Diet : You must have already heard about the importance of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle in general, and good fertility is yet another reason as to why you should adopt this. To conceive successfully you need to have a proper hormonal balance in the body, and a healthy diet is very essential to balance the hormones in the body. For this reason, some fertility supplements aim to create a healthy nutritional state in order to promote the best fertility. If you suspect that diet may be a factor impacting your infertility, then fertility supplements may be helpful in achieving positive fertility results.

Infertility and Nutrient Deficiencies : Even after you have adopted a very healthy diet, it cannot be sufficient to provide all the necessary nutrients that will help you conceive successfully. Here is where natural fertility supplements will help you. They can also ensure you receive crucial levels of certain vitamins and minerals necessary both for conception and a healthy fetus. Vitamin B6 is also said by many fertility specialists to be extremely beneficial in increasing the chances of women getting pregnant and to positively affect sperm count. A zinc deficiency may also contribute to a decline in sperm count and can have additional fertility benefits for women as well. Some say that chromosomal breakage can be prevented by taking selenium supplements. Chromosomal breakage is believed to be a major cause behind miscarriages. For a healthy functioning of the reproductive system essential fatty acids are very important. Therefore essential fatty acid supplements help a lot too. Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E supplements also help in correcting infertility problems. Amino acid supplements of L-Arginine and L-Carnitine are also beneficial.

Infertility and Chemical Exposure : Other factor that leads to infertility or inability to conceive is exposure to xenoestrogens. These are environmental estrogens that come from pesticides or plastics. Xenoestrogens lead to hormonal imbalance in the body and must be avoided. Xenoestrogens have also linked to miscarriages. If you suspect you have a toxic overload of chemicals in your system, you may want to also consider a fertility cleanse in addition to fertility supplements.

Infertility and Lifestyle Choices : There are many lifestyle choices that can also have negative impacts on fertility. Excessive consumption of alcohol has also been found to cause fertility problems in both men and women. In men it has found that alcohol leads to reduction in the sperm count. Too much caffeine is believed to decrease fertility in women. Smoking also negatively impacts conception rates, and is known to cause fertility problems in both men and women. With all of these lifestyle issues, natural fertility supplements will likely not improve fertility significantly unless changes are made in certain lifestyle choices.

Fertility Supplements

There is now a great deal of scientific knowledge about the use of nutritional supplements and their beneficial effects on both male and female fertility. As you will see, these supplements can be very effective in re-balancing your hormones, as well as improving you and your partner’s overall health, which are so vital for successful conception.

Scientific research has shown that certain vitamins and minerals can increase your chances of getting and staying pregnant. In order to maximise your chances of conceiving it is very important that you and your partner are in optimum health. By eliminating nutritional deficiencies and improving sperm production and mobility you can dramatically increase your chances of getting pregnant. In order to do this it is essential that you are obtaining the right nutrients and in the right quantities to enhance your success. Supplements are necessary because even the best diet in the world mayl not contain all the nutrients you need to give you the best chance of conceiving.

Folic Acid

It is now known that folic acid can prevent spina bifida in your baby, and it is essential that you get plenty both before and during pregnancy. And that’s not all: folic acid is undoubtedly important, but it is just part of the very important B-complex family of vitamins that are necessary to produce the genetic materials DNA and RNA, not only of the egg but also the sperm. Together with vitamin B12, folic acid works to ensure that your baby’s genetic codes are intact. Remember: it’s not enough to take folic acid alone when you are trying to become pregnant. All of the B vitamins are essential during the pre-conceptual period. Research has shown that giving B6 to women who have trouble conceiving increases fertility and vitamin B12 has been found to improve low sperm counts.

Zinc

Zinc is the most widely studied nutrient in terms of fertility for both men and women. It is an essential component of genetic material and a zinc deficiency can cause chromosome changes in either you or our partner, leading to reduced fertility and an increased risk of miscarriage. Zinc is necessary for your body to ‘attract and hold’ (utilise efficiently) the reproductive hormones, oestrogen and progesterone.

And it’s equally important for your partner: zinc is found in high concentrations in the sperm. Zinc is needed to make the outer layer and tail of the sperm and is, therefore, essential for the health of your partner’s sperm and, subsequently, your baby. Interestingly, several studies have also shown that reducing zinc in a man’s diet will also reduce his sperm count.

Selenium

Selenium is an antioxidant that helps to protect your body from highly reactive chemical fragments called free radicals. For this reason, selenium can prevent chromosome breakage, which is known to be a cause of birth defects and miscarriages. Good levels of selenium are also essential to maximise sperm formation. Blood selenium levels have been found to be lower in men with low sperm counts.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids

These essential fats have a profound effect on every system of the body, including the reproductive system and they are crucial for healthy hormone functioning. Omega 3 fatty acids also control inflammation which may interfere with getting and staying pregnant. For men essential fatty acid supplementation is crucial because the semen is rich in prostaglandins which are produced from these fats. Men with poor sperm quality, abnormal sperm, poor motility or low count, have inadequate levels of these beneficial prostaglandins.

Many of the women I see in the clinic have been taking evening primrose oil supplements – an Omega 6 fatty acid – for years and have not been eating enough Omega 3 oils, or taking them in supplement form, to counterbalance this. Some women are also taking combinations such as Omega 3, 6, and 9 in supplement form because they have heard that we need a good balance of all the Omega fatty acids. This is true, but you have to take into account what your own levels may be in the first place. It is no good adding in more Omega 6 if you have already got enough or in fact too much in your body. (You can now have a blood test to tell you if you have the correct levels of Omega 3 to Omega 6 in your body see below). To check whether you have sufficient levels of Omega 3 please click Omega 3 Deficiency Test (at home finger prick blood)

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is another powerful antioxidant and has been shown to increase fertility when given to both men and women. Men going for IVF treatment with their partners have been given vitamin E, and fertilisation rates have, as a result, increased from 19 to 29 percent. It has been suggested that the antioxidant activity of vitamin E might make the sperm more fertile.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is also an antioxidant, and studies show that vitamin C enhances sperm quality, protecting sperm and the DNA within it from damage. Some research has indicated that certain types of DNA damage in the sperm can make it difficult to conceive in the first place, or it can cause an increased risk of miscarriage if conception does take place. If DNA is damaged, there may be a chromosomal problem in the baby, should the pregnancy proceed. Whether or not DNA damage does have these effects has not been conclusively proven, but it’s worth taking vitamin C and the other antioxidants as a precautionary measure.

Vitamin C also appears to keep the sperm from clumping together, making them more motile.
One study has shown that women taking the drug clomiphene to stimulate ovulation will have a better chance of ovulating if vitamin C is taken alongside the drug. Clomiphene does not always work in every woman, but the chances are often increased when vitamin C is supplemented.

Beta-Carotene

This is the vegetable precursor to Vitamin A and is completely safe during pregnancy. Beta-carotene is a powerful antioxidant which helps to protect egg and sperm DNA from damage by harmful free radicals which can affect the quality of both the egg and sperm. Free radicals are highly unstable and set off a process called oxidation which can have harmful effects on the every cell in the body. Beta- carotene will be contained in your multivitamin and mineral.

L-Arginine

This is an amino acid found in many foods and the head of the sperm contains an exceptional amount of this nutrient, which is essential for sperm production. Supplementing with L-arginine can help to increase both the sperm count and quality.
Note: People who have herpes attacks (either cold sores or genital herpes) should not supplement with L-arginine because it stimulates the virus.

L-Carnitine

This amino acid is essential for normal functioning of sperm cells. According to research, it appears that the higher the levels of L-Carnitine in the sperm cells, the better the sperm count and motility.

Fertility Supplements

Fertility Supplements That Help You Get Pregnant : Without a doubt, taking pills to enhance conception is one of the most popular options chosen by women looking for help to get pregnant. Fertility supplements are not only more affordable than assisted reproductive technologies, such as IVF or artificial insemination, but there are also a wide variety to choose from for a woman’s every need.
However, frustration and uncertainty may evolve about whether the product you choose is actually right for you. To make things more ambiguous, how many manufacturers openly clarify all facts about their supplements? (We’re referring to mysterious ingredients, possible contradictions, clinical studies, etc.)

This is where SheCares comes in. We understand that successful conception involves more than just a positive pregnancy test. It involves your peace of mind as well.

When trying to get pregnant, many times we can fail to conceive because our diets are lacking in the nutrients necessary for a successful conception and pregnancy to take place. Even when we are very careful about our diet and “eat well”, our diet can still be insufficient. When trying to get pregnant your main objective should be is to try and create the healthiest eggs and sperm possible, and in the woman, the most fertile environment possible so conception can occur.

Often, with many couples, an ordinary diet lacks the necessary nutrients a healthy pregnancy requires. The body knows this, and until the nutrient levels are there, doesn’t conceive. So in order for the body to receive the nutrients it needs to conceive nutritional supplements are often required to supplement even the best most carefully planned diets.

There are a wealth of supplements available. A short stroll through you local supermarket or health food store reveals an array of choices; Fertility Supplement, Prenatal Vitamins, Fertility Blend, Natural Fertility Supplement, and so on.

The key is not so much what brand you buy, although quality is important, but more important is that the supplement you buy contains all the nutrients needed for high fertility. To achieve this you may have to buy more than one supplement to make sure you cover every nutrient. Whether you buy a single supplement product or you need to buy quite a few different ones, it or they should contain the following:

  • Vitamins A,E,D
  • Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12
  • Biotin, Cholene, Inositol, PABA
  • Folic Acid
  • Vitamin C and Bioflavinoids
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Potassium, Iron, Manganese
  • Zinc
  • Chromium, Selenium, Iodine
  • Evening Primrose Oil
  • MaxEPA

After taking supplements containing all of these, apart from giving your body everything it needs to conceive, you should feel greater well-being and notice higher levels of energy. How these supplements benefit you in terms of you conceiving are as follows:

  • Vitamin A – For men, vitamin A is necessary for sperm production and production of testosterone. In women it keeps the cilia in the fallopian tubes healthy, and deficiencies in either men or women could lead to infertility and miscarriage. Vitamin A is a known antioxidant so it plays an important role in detoxifying your body.
  • Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, PABA, Folic Acid, Inositol, Choline – These vitamins usually occur together and are necessary for balancing estrogen and progesterone, as well as the production of sex hormones. For male fertility the B group is especially important. Vitamin B5 is needed for the testes to be healthy, high sperm count and motility require Vitamin B12, and Inositol is needed for a healthy prostate gland. A deficiency in Vitamin B can result in a miscarriage or risk of the baby being stillborn.
  • Vitamin C and Bioflavinoids – Because Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant it works to eliminate toxins in your system, like lead for example. Vitamin C encourages ovulation in women who haven’t been producing eggs and who may be anovular. In men it prevents the sperm from clumping. However a deficiency of Vitamin C during the period of conception and early pregnancy can result in a miscarriage.
  • Calcium – You need calcium for producing fertile mucus in the vagina. You know it’s fertile when it is stretchy. Calcium deficiency can result in toxemia while pregnant.
  • Magnesium – Estrogen and Progesterone require Magnesium if they are to be produced. If a woman has a Magnesium deficiency the muscle contractions of the Fallopian Tubes can be affected, interfering with the movement of eggs and sperm within the uterus. You know you have a Magnesium deficiency if you crave sugary foods, chocolate in particular.
  • Potassium – Potassium is necessary for sperm motility and the general wellbeing of glands. Iron – Iron is essential for hemoglobin production and the correct formation of fetal blood. Without enough iron infertility can result.
  • Manganese – Manganese is involved with building and breaking down genetic material, like nucleic acids. It also plays a part in the secretions from glands that affect a womans’ maternal instinct, her desire to love and nurture her child. Deficiencies in Manganese reduce sperm count and can result in infertility.
  • Zinc – Zinc is required for a healthy sperm count and for the sperm to be well formed. Zinc deficiency can result in chromosomal abnormalities in the sperm and low levels of testosterone. For women, low zinc can lead to a miscarriage. Whether male or female zinc is very important to your reproductive health.
  • Chromium – Chromium helps with glucose metabolism, which stabilizes blood sugar levels.
  • Selenium – Healthy levels of Selenium help males with sperm production and motility. It is a known antioxidant and can help remove toxins from the body. Low levels of Selenium reduce sperm production and sperm motility.
  • Iodine – The thyroid gland the balance of hormones in the body and for it to function properly it needs Iodine. When a woman has a thyroid gland that is not sufficiently active she may not ovulate during her cycle.
  • Evening Primrose Oil and MaxEPA – These two contain Omega 3 essential fatty acids which are important for providing what body needs for building cell membranes and body structures. They are also necessary for correct hormone balance and prostaglandin production. In females they help with bloodflow in the uterus. Deficiencies of essential fatty acids can lead to chromosomal defects and miscarriage.

Search your local health food store or supermarket for a supplement product or a combination of products that contain all of the vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids mentioned above. Taking the recommended daily doses of these will provide your body with all the nutrients it needs for it to become a highly fertile environment where conception can occur.
