Dr. Waseem has completed his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Aleppo. He has more than nine years of experience in ophthalmology and ophthalmological-related surgery. He is certified as an Ophthalmology Specialist from the Ministry of Health in Syria and he also worked as a specialist ophthalmologist in the Eyes Specialized Hospital in Aleppo, Syria where he spent one year in an internship training program to fine tune his areas of expertise and his surgical skills in cornea and anterior segment. He remained in the same hospital as a specialist in Corneal Department where he successfully contributed to the treatment of many cases and performed a large and diverse number of complex surgical procedures. In addition, he was a member of the specialist team responsible for training of resident doctors at the Eye Specialized Hospital. Prior to joining Zulekha Hospital, Dr. Waseem worked as a ophthalmology specialist at Hatoum Eye clinic in Syria.
