Dr. Subbiah Surendran is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon who relocated to Dubai from the UK. He obtained his fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1995 after gaining wide experience in various fields of surgery. For eight years he specialised in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at the prestigious Queens Medical Centre, University Hospital, Nottingham, one of the few centres of excellence in Orthopaedics in Europe, which earned him the specialist fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics FRCS (Trauma & Ortho) from the Specialist Training Board of United Kingdom. He gained extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery with special emphasis in arthroscopic surgery of knee and ankle including sports injury, as well as arthroplasty of the hip and knee with special emphasis in minimally invasive knee replacement. He also has extensive experience in trauma surgery especially on fracture fixation with the latest AO technique. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association.He is also one of the few instructors in Basic Trauma Life Support Canada in the UAE and h elps to train doctors and paramedics.
