Fertility Doctors in Dubai
There are various kinds of doctors that specialize in many different medical fields. Many times the specialization that a doctor chooses is driven by their passion for a certain field of medicine and they then embark on a career full of innovation and discovery with the objective to advance the specialty that they are in.
This innovation and discovery has been seen a great deal through the fertility doctor that is dedicated to helping women become pregnant and have children, which is something that would not have been possible for some women without the help of these types of doctors. These doctors truly are the last resort for some couples that have nearly given up hope of having children of their own after years of trying.
Each fertility doctor may have a preferred method of fertilization that they use in order to help women become pregnant. Some examples are IVF, egg donor, insemination, fertility medication, PCOS and many others. Sometimes, the method that is used is driven by the problems associated with each specific woman not being able to get pregnant. These doctors usually begin the process by discovering why a couple has been unable to get pregnant, if the reason is not already known, and then choose the best method of fertilization from there.
Becoming a Fertility Doctors
Becoming a fertility doctor can be a daunting process, and for those how enjoy working with people, this may be a great path for you to take. Many people are faced with infertility, and as a fertility doctor, you are going to be helping these couples have a shot at being a parent finally. Some couples are on their last hope as they have been trying for years to naturally have a child, and as a fertility doctor you need to be able to support these couples emotionally while helping them have their dream become a reality.
Begin by completing your medical degree. Taking medical classes is going to give you a broad spectrum of aspects such as anatomy, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, physiology, and also helps give you the exposure to medicine disciplines as you go through your required clinical. There are some elective courses that might give you more experience and knowledge in endocrinology as well as gynecology. These are going to help get you ready and prepared for further education.
You are going to need to complete an additional 4 year residency in gynecology as well as obstetrics. Your rotations are going to expose you to different types of patients and situations and how to care for women. You will also receive exposure to preconception overall health as well as postpartum care and delivery dilemmas or issues. You are going to be taught all you need to know about diagnosing a woman with certain health issues as well as how to screen then for cancer. You are going to also learn about certain gynecological issues some women face such as UTI”s and pelvic complications.
You are going to be required to pass a national exam in the state you plan on working in and you must pass both the written exam as well as an oral part. The written portion of this exam tests your knowledge on being a primary caregiver in this field and the oral portion tests your ability to identify and diagnose women with certain ailments or diseases.
You are going to have to complete a fellowship training which specializes in endocrinology as well as infertility. This is going to give you the extended knowledge you need to help with infertility issues as well as hormonal issues. For the most part, this aspect is going to last an average of 3 years and is going to feature clinical as through hormone clinics as well as fertility clinics. You are going to be given coursework and research projects to help test your knowledge.
In order to become a fertility doctor, there is a second exam that needs to be taken and passed before you are licensed to become a fertility doctor. This national exam also has an oral and a written part and both must be passed in order to become licensed. You are going to be tested on your knowledge of fertility issues.
